Establishing a well-structured debt collection and debt management programme is often a critical step for maximising outstanding payments of debt.  Payments may be late for a number of reasons, and it’s important to establish communications with the debtor to ensure the agreed payment plan will be completed.

At Total Risk we provide the full range of debt collection services.  Our approach is to establish a relationship with the customer as early as possible.  Following the initial contact we put in place a sustainable payment plan and closely track adherence to payments. 

Our debt collection services include:

• Full collection service with an emphasis on establishing and maintaining a level of personal interaction with the debtor.  
• Tailored approach and service, depending on each specific situation.  This may include finding and tracing the debtor, contacting the person by phone or personal visit, negotiating a payment plan, and managing payments and defaults.
• Once a payment plan has been established, we closely track and monitor all payments. 
• If required, where full default of payments occur, we will escalate to undertaking a Default Listing on a national record with Veda New Zealand. 
• For the more extreme cases, we provide full legal support.  This includes preparing the statement and claim for civil court action, lodging court forms, and court attendance.  We also provide preparation and assistance with Disputes Tribunal hearings.
